Wendy Hernández

“I built LionsPride to challenge who gets to support power — and how.”

Wendy Hernández is a former educator turned entrepreneur who saw firsthand how often talent is overlooked when it doesn’t follow a traditional path. She founded LionsPride Associates to redefine who belongs in the rooms where power is shaped, and to set a new standard for executive support that is bold, strategic, and values-driven.

Wendy began her career in public education, serving as Special Assistant to award-winning, renowned school-turnaround expert Dr. Lindsa McIntyre. For over a decade, she worked in Boston’s most challenging high schools. Her work blended strategic operations with human-centered leadership — overseeing systems, securing grants, coaching teachers, leading communications, and building cultures of care under pressure.

After leaving education, Wendy faced a jarring truth: despite her qualifications, she was repeatedly passed over for executive assistant roles. So she hired herself.

Rather than wait for permission, Wendy built what she couldn’t find — a platform for sharp, mission-driven professionals to be recognized for their talent, not reduced to their résumés.

Today, Wendy leads a curated team of U.S.-based assistants who support founders, creatives, executives, and disruptors with strategy, structure, and heart.

She’s known for her thoughtful, equity-driven approach to operations, shaped by her background in education and systems design. From hiring practices to vendor selection, she weaves equity and intentionality into every layer of business — challenging norms and guiding leaders toward values-aligned decisions.

Wendy holds a B.A. in Human Resources Management and Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (recipient of the Talented Minority Scholarship), a Master of Education from UMass Boston, and completed a short story collection through the MFA in Creative Writing program at Lesley University.

She lives with unapologetic joy, creative fire, and a fierce commitment to justice. A proud Dominicana, she fuels long work blocks with bachata and is both a spa connoisseur and a devoted Caribbean beach traveler, with Trunk Bay in St. John topping her list.
